Renteria-Rodriguez Headlines at El Portal Club

We are two weeks away from Aztec Empire Promotions professional boxing event “The New Generation / La Nueva Generacion”. September 17, 2009, at El Portal Club in southeast Houston, Texas, will be the site for the inaugural show. Squaring up in the main event for the Texas Super Featherweight Title is unbeaten boxer-puncher Eleazar “Pelon” Renteria going up against power punching Angel Rodriguez. This matchup promises to be an exciting fight between two Houston cross-town rivals.

The co-main event and undercard will feature many local favorites, dangerous Angel “El Gallo” Herrera, Nelson Ramos, Uko Isidien, Rodrigo Villarreal, Jonathan Jones, pro debut Rafael “El Pipiripau” Munoz and Rosenberg’s Fernando Castaneda, these local and area young up-and-coming prospects are sure to provide a night of explosive boxing. Tickets are priced at $20 general admission and $65 VIP ringside or a complete table of 8 VIP Ringside seats with your name or business name for $520. VIP Ringside tickets are expected to sell out well in advance. Location to purchase tickets will be at Aztec Empire Boxing Gym, 201 Adams Street, Houston, TX 77011. Larry Hernandez, who is the owner of the Aztec Empire Boxing Gym and Founder of Aztec Empire Promotions, said, “I’ve done all of the legwork regarding the local boxing market and I know that the time is right to launch our promotional company.  Boxing fans love great, tough, action packed fights and that is what Aztec Empire Promotions will give the fans without exception.”
