In the main event of the show, promoted by Marcin Piwek from the Fight Events, cruiserweight Nikodem Jezewski (14-0-1, 8 KOs) scored a workmanlike unanimous decision over American journeyman Demetrius Banks (9-5, 4 KOs) in an uneventful fight that produced a little amount of fireworks.

Scores were: 80-72, 80-72, and 77-75. Banks has suffered his fifth consecutive loss, losing for the second time in Poland.

Popular local heavyweight Marcin Rekowski has closed his boxing career with a bang. He had dominated Hungarian journeyman Andras Csomor for four rounds before sending him down hard in the fifth.

Csomor got up at the count of eight but was finished with a left hook right after that. Time was 2:28.

Rekowski’s final career record reads as 19-5, 16 KOs. Despite starting late (he turned pro at 34) Rekowski scored some solid wins, including those over faded and aging version of former WBC heavyweight champion Oliver McCall, former European champion Albert Sosnowski and against well-known journeyman Gbenga Oloukun.

Middleweight Kamil Gardzielik (8-0, 3 KOs) showed solid skills and overall effectiveness in a one-sided win over rugged opponent in Damian Mielewczyk (12-5, 8 KOs). Scorecards read: 80-72, 80-72 and 79-74 in a scheduled eight-rounder.

Journeyman Michal Banbula (13-30-4) has done this again. The light-hitting cruiserweight (no career kayos) upset prospect Piotr Podlucki (6-2, 2 KOs) with a majority decision over six rounds. Scores were: 58-56, 58-56, and 57-57.

Banbula has been competing in the United Kingdom for six years before coming back to his homeland after five years off the ring in 2016. During the first part of his career Banbula scored wins over 11-1 Jon Ibbotson and 29-5-1 Tony Oakey, as well as a draw with 2008 Beijing Olympics bronze medalist Tony Jeffries.
