BROOKLYN -- Undefeated contender BRAD "King" SOLOMON of Layfayette, LA and Philadelphia's RAYMOND "Tito" SERRANO will step into the spotlight when they open the Friday, October 16 edition of the "MetroPC Friday Night Knockout on truTV" live telecast from Brooklyn's AVIATOR Sports and Events Center (3159 Flatbush Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11234), beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Scores were 94-94 even, and 97-91 and 96-92 in favor of Serrano, who moves to 21-2 (9KOs) in picking up his third straight win. By Jake Donovan - In the televised co-feature, Raymond Serrano's once promising career is suddenly in free-fall. The Philly prospect suffered his second consecutive knockout loss, this coming at the hands of once-beaten Emmanuel Taylor of Maryland. Serrano was trapped along the ropes and under heavy fire before being rescued by the referee. The official time was 1:42 of round six. Taylor improves to 16-1 (11KO) with the win, his second straight. Serrano falls to 18-2 (8KO), with the losses coming in his last two fights.
(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – Female featherweight JaJaira Gonzalez (Glendora, Calif.) won the first gold medal of the inaugural Junior World Team Open in Reno, Nev., on Tuesday evening. The female featherweight championship bout was the final contest of the night with 10 bouts of action being contested on opening day. Gonzalez finished the night with a bang, taking the title with a stoppage win over Anna Crutchfield (Travelers Rest, S.C.).
By Jake Donovan - What began as a battle of unbeaten prospects resulted in a showcase performance for the winner. Karim Mayfield had no issues whatsoever in storming through Ray Serrano en route to a fifth round knockout in their ESPN2-televised headliner Friday evening at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. Both fighters weighed in at 139 lb, one pound below the super lightweight division in which they regularly campaign.
By Jake Donovan - Unbeaten 140 lb. prospects Karim Mayfield and Raymond Serrano square off in tonight's Friday Night Fights main event at the Times Union Center in Albany, NY. Also on tap is a middleweight battle between Nick Brinson (9-1-1, 5KO) and unbeaten Jason Escalera (13-0, 12KO).
Raymond Serrano shrugged off an extremely confident Karim Mayfield’s trash talk at a press conference in Albany, N.Y.
ALBANY, NY - Undefeated junior welterweights Ray "Tito" Serrano and Karim "Hard Hitta" Mayfield wasted no time at today's press conference in Albany, New York getting in each other's face just two days ahead of their "ESPN Friday Night Fights" showdown at the Times Union Center set for this Friday, May 18, 2012.
