Pulev vs. Helenius Clash Still Be Worked Out For Crawford-Khan

By Per Ake Persson

The Kubrat Pulev vs Robert Helenius heavyweight clash is not on yet - at least not according to Helenius' manager Markus Sundman.

"It´s one of the fights we are in negotiations about," states Sundman in a short comment over mail to this reporter.

The fight is targeted for the undercard of Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan, which takes place in the Unites States on April 20.

Pulev was previously handled by Sauerland Event but he recently signed a co-promotional deal with Top Rank, who also promote Crawford.

WBO # 1 super middleweight Shefat Isufi, 27-3-2, headlines Felix-Promotion´s show in Budapest February 22 in a scheduled non-title ten-rounder against an opponent to be announced. Felix-Promotion won purse bids for a WBO eliminator with Isufi vs Vincent Feigenbutz but the German pulled out.

It is rumored but not confirmed that the WBO champ, Gilberto Ramirez, is about to move up weight, which could be mean that Isufi and Jesse Hart will fight for the vacant title but nothing is confirmed.

In the co-feature cruiserweight Imre Szello, 22-0 and # 2 WBO, # 5 IBF and # 14 WBA, was supposed to take on former WBA champ Firat Arslan in a WBO eliminator but Arslan pulled out and Szello will now fight the always dangerous TBA.

Also on the bill is super middleweight Mate Kis, 13-0-2 plus former WBO Youth middleweight champion Renato Egedi.

Souleymane Cissokho, 7-0, and Romain Garofa, 14-3, clash for the vacant French 154 lb title February 9 at Palais des Sports in Paris with RingStar promoting. In the co-feature Elie Konki, 5-0, defends the national title at bantamweight against Anthony Chapat, 5-0-1, reigning French champ at flyweight.

I just want to know who Teofimo Lopez is fighting on that card.

Decent undercard. If the Whyte card delivers the number of heavyweights the media has suggested then this could be one epic heavyweight night!
Yes, but WBO is first (which is what Whyte was probably going to be).
The WBO isn't in the rotation pact though; just the WBC, WBA, and IBF. The WBA is still settling their situation, and the IBF has Pulev…
