WBA International middleweight champion Jarrod Fletcher (18-1, 10KOs) is not facing Dmitry Chudinov (12-0-2, 8KOs) on March 22 in Moscow, accoridng to Fletcher's promoter Greg Cohen.
Fletcher won the vacant WBA title on February 1 in Monte Carlo, with an upset twelve round unanimous decision over Max Bursak. During that recent victory, Fletcher suffered facial cuts and he won't be medically cleared until March 29th.
"I did speak with [promoter] Vlad [Hryunov], but Fletcher will not be able to fight on that date. He just had a fight and he was cut above both eyes from headbutts. We want to fight Chudinov, but it has to be after March 29th," Cohen told BoxingScene.com.
