Audley Vows To Heal Reputation With Price Performance

Audley Harrison has vowed to carry the fight to David Price at Liverpool's Echo Arena on October 13. Harrison's abysmal three-round capitulation against David Haye in 2010, during which the terrified Olympic gold medallist barely threw a punch, has permanently stained his reputation. But the 40-year-old refuses to end a hugely disappointing professional career and is determined to seize Price's British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles. "David has done no wrong and is a likeable guy," he said.

Following his side-bet with Dave Haye prior to their heavyweight title fight at West Ham United, Dereck Chisora will now present Haye's charity of choice, The African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust, with a cheque for £20,000. The donation will go towards supporting the ACLT's lifesaving work through spreading awareness and increasing the number of ethnic minorities on the UK bone marrow, blood and organ donation registries through national recruitment drives.

According to the Liverpool Echo, British champion David Price (13-0, 11KOs) will make the first defense of his title against Olympic gold medal winner Audley Harrison (28-5, 21KOs) on October 13th at the ECHO Arena. Price's promoter, Frank Maloney, has also finalized a one-year deal to showcase Price's fights on subscription channel BoxNation. Harrison, 40, won gold in Sydney 12 years ago with Price, 29, picking up the bronze at the 2008 Games in Beijing.
