Saul “Canelo” Alvarez has predicted that he will win Saturday’s undisputed super-middleweight title fight with Jaime Munguia inside eight rounds.

Junior middleweight Serhii Bohachuk had 10 days to prepare for his new opponent ahead of winning a 12-round unanimous decision over Brian Mendoza to claim the WBC junior middleweight interim title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 30.

Jessie Magdaleno hopes to lean on his experuence as a former world champion to defeat 27-year-old Brandon Figueroa on May 4th. The interim WBC featherweight world title fight will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., on the Canelo Alvarez-Jaime Munguia Prime Video pay-per-view undercard.

Brandon Figueroa has had a long wait to return to the ring but 14 months on he could also be eyeballing a year-end award as well. Figueroa will be featured on Saturday, May 4 against former world champion Jessie Magdaleno as part of the Prime Video pay-per-view card headlined by Saul “Canelo” Alvarez versus Jaime Munguia, which will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Negotiations for a potential fight between Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez have become a weighty issue. Alvarez is the undisputed king of the super middleweight division, and he will defend his crown once more against Jaime Munguia in an all-Mexican Cinco De Mayo weekend showdown in Las Vegas on May 4. Munguia is certainly an appealing opponent who will help make the fight a blockbuster success, but he superseded Benavidez, Alvarez’s mandatory WBC challenger who’s been patiently waiting in the wings for several years for his well-deserved opportunity.
