The brand new world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez began his selfless work for the benefit of building the youth house in Veracruz as part of a statewide project sponsored by the Youth Institute.

The king of the super welterweight division (WBC) arrived this morning at Boca del Rio in the company of all their staff, where Mayor Salvador Manzur officially welcomed him at a crowded press conference held at City Hall.

All week the boxer Jalisco hold talks, lectures and interviews with young people from different regions of Veracruz in order to motivate them.

"I am delighted to be back in Veracruz, and I'm happier for coming to support projects of the Youth Institute, because I am part of young people who in the future want to do something for Mexico," said "El Canelo" before the enthusiastic audience that listened with attention.

Three months ago, Saul Alvarez fought with the African Lovemore N'dou in the stadium "Beto Ávila", beating him by decision in defense of his world silver belt.

"I'd like to fight in Veracruz, I had a very good experience," he said.
