A few days ago, WBA welterweight champion and a senator in the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, revealed that he earned his degree in Political Science and Government Administration from the University of Makati, in the Philippines - which he pulled off at 40 years old. (photos by Wendell Alinea/OSMP).
"It's never too late to dream big dreams," wrote the Filipino politician to start his post on the social network, where he also published a photograph showing the degree, wearing a cap and gown. It's never too late to fulfill our dreams.
"I will always remember the key lessons I learned and the ideas I got from all of you! I will always appreciate the excitement I experienced during the entire learning process that led to the exit, the final requirement I needed to complete to get a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Local Government Administration. I am excited to receive my diploma and show it on the wall.
"I dedicate this to my very beautiful and supportive wife, Jinkee, and our incredible children, Jimuel, Michael, Princess, Queenie and Israel. I will also show this diploma to my mother Dionisia, my dad and my brothers and I will remind them of God's faithfulness. Among my achievements, this will be the most significant. Let this victory outside the boxing ring serve as inspiration for people struggling to overcome adversity, conquer and embrace life and all its difficulties."
