Photos: Luis Nery Demolishes McJoe Arroyo, Four Knockdowns

AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas - Former WBC bantamweight champion Luis Nery (29-0, 23 KOs) beat down McJoe Arroyo (18-3, 8 KOs), with four knockdowns to secure a stoppage victory in four rounds. The actual stoppage time was 10 seconds into the fifth.

Nery came out firing with both hands in the first round. Arroyo was on the backfoot and took quite a few punches, while looking for some openings.

The action continued in the second round, with Nery dropping Arroyo with an uppercut. He managed to stagger Arroyo again at the end of the round.

In the third, Nery was applying a lot of pressure and managed to drop Arroyo a long the ropes. During the fourth round, there was a number of punches landed by Nery and he dropped Arroyo two more times after a series of hard combinations.

When the fourth round ended, Arroyo's corner ended the contest.

Nery keeps stopping contenders others couldn't. Arthur Villanueva, Jason Canoy, Renson Robles and now McJoe Arroyo. This guy is special. And Naoya Inoue vs. Luis Nery is the biggest fight at 118lb division.

Nery looked real good. He was levels above McJoe Arroyo. The little f[I]u[/I]cker needs to put himself on VADA testing for every fight, doe.
