Santa Monica, CA - In front of a packed house of Southern California media on Wednesday afternoon, boxing’s fastest rising star, GENNADY “GGG” GOLOVKIN held his first Los Angeles workout for the press corps, just ten days ahead of his WBA/IBO World Middleweight Championship defense against Two-time world champion DANIEL “The Real Deal” GEALE.

 

Working under the watchful eye of heralded trainer ABEL SANCHEZ and K2 Promotions’ TOM LOEFFLER, Golovkin answered questions from the media before training.

“I feel terrific, this is a big fight for me. Daniel Geale is a former world champion and a dangerous opponent.”

 

“This is a big test for me. I’m very happy with the way my career has progressed.”

 

“This morning I weighed 164, no problem with my weight.”

 

“It’s very important to me to fight at Madison Square Garden, I’m very happy to be fighting in the big Arena this time.”
