Rodriguez came out respecting the power of Sor Rungvisai by moving and using his much longer reach to jab. Rodriguez was throwing very quick punches and rattling the veteran. In the second, Rodriguez continued to move and punch, always using angles to stay away from Sor Rungvisai. His much quicker punches continued to tag up Sor Rungvisai.
Sor Rungvisai was trying hard in the third, but he was unable to land a lot of his big shots. Rodriguez continued to land quick shots while moving around with angles. Sor Rungvisai was focusing on the body in the fourth. He was applying a lot of pressure on Rodriguez, who responded with some very accurate punches with both hands landing flush.
Rodriguez continued to outland and outwork Sor Rungvisai in the fifth. More of the same in the sixth, but Sor Rungvisai was able to land a little more than in prior rounds. In the seventh, and overhand left dropped Sor Rungvisai. Rodriguez was landing a lot of punches on the veteran, who continued to come forward. Rodriguez was lighting up Sor Rungivsai with big punches from both hands and the referee jumped in to wave off the fight.
