Super middleweight contender Marco Antonio Periban (20-1, 13KOs) issued a warning to Mayweather Promotions and undefeated Badou Jack (15-0, 10KOs). During the final press conference, Periban reminded everyone about his past success against a fighter promoted by Mayweather Promotions. Periban only needed 33 seconds to drill a then undefeated Dion Savage (AKA Shujaa El Amin) on February 25th of 2011 in California.

Periban-Jack takes place on Tursday night as part of the Fox Sports televised card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

In his last fight earlier this year, Periban was close to winning the vacant WBC title, but lost a close twelve round decision to Sakio Bika.

"I trained hard, I'm very well prepared and I'm going to come out with the victory for all of Mexico. I just want to say that a win here will get me closer to a title. That title escaped my hands. Obviously there was a little slip, the judges affected me against Sakio Bika, but we gained experience, we are motivated. This is not the first time that I faced a Mayweather fighter. The last time he lasted 15 seconds, so we are ready to go," Periban said.
