Silyagin is an undefeated super middleweight prospect from Russia, while the 22-3 Gongora is returning for the first time since last year's decision loss to Lester Martinez.

Ekaterinburg - Russian light heavyweight Vasily Voytsekhovsky (13-0, 7 KOs) survived the toughest test of his career by overcoming tough and ultra experienced Argentinean veteran Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna (31-12, 21 KOs) with a questionable majority decision over ten rounds in an even fight.

Tomorrow, February 10th, RCC Boxing Promotions, arguably the most resilient Russian promotional company in recent years, led by indomitable German Titov, will host one of the biggest boxing events in Russia since the beginning of the Ukrainian war. Fourteen fights constitute the card of the event, five of them being ten-rounders, and the main event is scheduled for twelve rounds. There will be no major or minor title bouts, but several international encounters will draw solid attention.

In a minor upset, TBRB #6 and WBA #13 ranked super middleweight Pavel Silyagin (13-0-1, 6 KOs) was held to a split draw by fellow compatriot Evgeny Shvedenko (16-1-1, 7 KOs) with both fighters having their chances during the encounter. And in another blatant sample of very bad announcing habits and organizational wrongdoing, no official scores were declared in the ring after the final bell, which should have been a must after the fight that tight. BoxingScene saw it 95-95 - also a draw.

In an uneasy time for the world, with two neighboring nations on the battlefield, German Titov of the RCC Boxing Promotions continues to work in a “business-as-usual” style, trying to stage solid pugilistic cards in his Ural citadels. Limitations are present and well-felt, but Titov manages to stage solid cards even during days of sorrow and despair.

Ekaterinburg - TBRB #6 ranked super middleweight Pavel Silyagin (13-0, 6 KOs) shined in his tune-up bout against Colombian import Leonard Carrillo, stopping him in four one-sided rounds.

Mark "Canelo" Urvanov overcame tough resistance provided by former WBA 130lb champion Rene Alvarado of Nicaragua to hammer out a ten-round, unanimous decision Saturday at RCC Boxing Academy in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

The scene is set for one of the most prominent boxing cards of 2022 in Russia. The epithet should be taken with a grain of salt, as local cards are far less pretentious this year than they were before – another sad consequence of an ongoing high-scale military conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

WBC #8 / TBRB #9 Magomed Kurbanov (23-0, 13 KOs) continued his winning streak by defeating former WBO light middleweight titleholder Patrick Teixeira over ten rounds with a unanimous decision. Kurbanov, who dropped Teixeira hard in the first, combined his sometimes underrated boxing skills with always-present toughness to competitively outbox the Brazilian with the scores: 99-90, 98-91, and 97-92.

Light middleweight contenders, Magomed Kurbanov of Russia and Patrick Teixeira of Brazil, will finally collide on July 9 in one of the important fights in the light middleweight division. The bout, which has been postponed before, will take place at the Uralets Arena in Ekaterinburg, Russia, and will be promoted by the RCC Boxing Promotions. It will be scheduled for ten rounds.
