Anthony Joshua will challenge IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois for his title on Sept. 21 at London’s Wembley Stadium, which headlines the Riyadh Season Wembley Edition bill. On ProBox TV’s “Deep Waters,” analyst Paulie Malignaggi said he felt two-time heavyweight champion Joshua, who has had comfortable wins over Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou since aligning with coach Ben Davison, is a changed fighter under the trainer. “I’ll tell you what, AJ with Ben Davison is a bit of a different character, and there’s a different animal there with Anthony Joshua,” Malignaggi said. “I like what I’m seeing with Anthony Joshua, so I don’t know that it’s the same AJ that [Oleksandr] Usyk beat twice already. But we’ll see.”

What Wallin did to Fury??
Fury got a bad cut that's it, Wallin barely won a round.
Wallin made Fury look poor. All the Fury fans were clamouring for AJ to fight Wallin afterwards. The evidence is on this forum "AJ will never fight Wallin" etc.
If you take Usyk out, then Wallin is the best boxer (not brawler) Fury has fought in the last 8 years

I think AJ has got the right trainer for him - but he hasn't really been tested yet. Ngannou + Wallin are hardly elite level.
I will say though *at the time* a lot of people here were saying AJ would never dare fight Wallin or Ngannou - because of what they did to Fury. And he walked through both of them pretty easy...

I know Ngannou was 0-1, but 3 minutes into the fight, Davison knew exactly what AJ needed to do.
It's not hard to figure that out against a UFC fighter with one professional fight. The outcome would have been the same no matter who was in Joshua's corner.

I didn't see DDD landen bombs vs Miller and Hrgovic who are levels below AJ. He won both fights by two. AJ is simply better that DDD in all departments of the game.
Huh? He was landing bombs all fight against Hrgovic bro. Was literally stepping in and out pot shotting him all fight with bombs. Hrgovic is NOT levels below AJ if you think that I don’t know what to tell ya. I do agree AJ is more “technically” sound based on his Olympic background but so was Hrgovic. Also Hrgovic”s chin is legendary(ask big bang zhang) and AJs chin is opposite of legendary. AJ has the advantage in experience and boxing IQ imo. Dubois has advantages in speed and that might be it. DDD will have to make it an “ugly” bruising fight like against Hrgovic to win

I don't know that 1 full contact round vs an MMA guy and 6 with a sparring partner over the last 2 years is enough rounds banked to have AJ ready for a Doobie wanting all the smoke ?
Still, Doobie's there to be hit and the Princess can hit so it should be a fun fight.
