Francisco "The Wizard" Palacios (20-0, 13 KOs) is already in Poland, , training hard, and can't for Saturday April 2, when the cruiserweight contender from Puerto Rico will challenge the World Boxing Council (WBC) champion Krzysztof "Diablo" Włodarczyk (44-2, 32 KOs).

"Everything is fine, Poland has welcomed me with open arms, but I don't need any special motivation for this fight because everything is pointing to the fact that this fight is my destiny. I'm fighting on April 2, which is the same day, eight years ago, when my brother 'Lefty' saw my last fight before he died. On April 2, I am expecting the birth of my first child, and it may possibly happen when I climb in the ring to fight for Włodarczyk's title," Palacios said.

"I've been training hard for the last 10 weeks and I know what I have to do in the ring. Nothing will stop me from bringing this green title back with me. I only hope that 'El Diablo' is in his best condition so he doesn't have an excuse and the Polish fans see a classic."

The last Puerto Rican to win the WBC world title was Felix "Tito" Trinidad when he defeated Oscar De La Hoya in 1999.
