Auditorio Municipal, Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico - Jorge Paez Jr. (32-4-1, 19KOs) fought his way to an impressive ten round unanimous decision over Omar Chavez (28-2-1, 21KOs) in a very anticipated junior middleweight rematch between the sons of two legendary Mexican fighters. All three judges saw it 96-94 for Paez.

Paez handed Chavez his first career loss last December with a ten round majority decision.

Paez was very aggressive from the start, walking Chavez down and landing numerous combinations. Chavez was trying to come back as the fight played out, but the left side of his face was starting to swell up by the fourth round.

Paez had the faster hands, more accurate combinations and he was defending well when Chavez tried to attack. In the late rounds, Paez was really busting Chavez up with combinations to the head and several times it appeared that Chavez was ready to go - but he would fight back every time Paez tried to finish him off.

Bryan Vazquez (25-0, 15KOs) retained his WBA interim-super featherweight title with a ninth round knockout of Jorge Lacierva (41-9-6, 27KOs). Lacierva was game until he was caught with a hard left hook to the body that put him down in the ninth round. He beat the count, but another left hook to the body sent him down for the full count.
