Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao is not looking to return to the sport.
Pacquiao, 43-years-old, was in the ring last August, when he lost a twelve round decision to late replacement Yordenis Ugas in a welterweight title bout.
While there was talk of taking another fight, Pacquiao would announce his retirement from the sport.
This coming December, Pacquiao will take part in a six round exhibition bout against South Korean YouTuber DK Yoo in Seoul.
The event will raise money for war victims in Ukraine and for homeless families in the Philippines.
Although the fight will be for charity, the Filipino star is training very hard and intends to show off the trademark skills that propelled his career.
“I just want to work hard and make sure my condition is 100% so I can still show off my skills in the ring,” Pacquiao said during a press conference at Shangri-La The Fort to officially announce the exhibition, according to Rappler.
“Although this is just a charity event to help people out, we will still prepare like it’s a championship fight. I took this exhibition to help out more in need, so we can continue giving out homes to our countrymen who don’t have one. I already have a lot of Pacman Villages started, but not yet finished. The income from this fight will be used for more homes."
The rounds will be two minutes in length. There is no agreement on the weight limit, with Yoo currently weighing around 175 to 180, and Pacquiao walking around at 150 to 153-pounds.
