WBC interim-middleweight champion Marco Antonio Rubio has promised to go for broke against WBA/IBO middleweight king Gennady Golovkin on October 18th at the Stubhub Center in Carson, California. Rubio has an impressive pro record of 59 wins, 51 of these by way of knockout in exchange for six defeats and a draw, while Golovkin has knocked out 27 of his 30 opponents.

The winner will become the mandatory challenger to WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico.

"The word defeat has not even crossed my mind. I'm going in there to get a resounding victory," Rubio said.
