Probellum has announced the promotional signing of 31-year-old cruiserweight Noel 'Gevor' Mikaelian.

The Armenian-German is the newest addition to Probellum’s roster, which has been expanding at a fast pace since launching in September.

“I’m very happy to sign for Probellum, the most exciting new brand in boxing,” said Mikaelian.

“I believe this will be a significant step in my development as a fighter, and I’m really looking forward to starting 2022 in a positive way, under the guidance of Probellum.”

A former WBO international cruiserweight champion, Mikaelian (25-2, 10 knockouts) has consistently showcased his quality throughout the course of a professional career which has spanned over 10 years.

Following its launch, Probellum has already signed an army of fighters to its roster, including Pat and Luke McCormack, Regis Prograis, Nonito Donaire, Donnie Nietes, Lee McGregor, Eimantas Stanionis, Arthur Biyarslanov, Taras Shelestyuk, Ricky Burns, Paul Butler, Lewis Ritson, Muhammad Waseem, O’Shaquie Foster, Hovhannes Bachkov, Darius Fulghum, Eduardo Hernandez, Mark Dickinson, Brandon Moore, Jack Bowen and Jason Mallia.

The inaugural Probellum event took place at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena earlier this month, with Sunny Edwards retaining his IBF flyweight title courtesy of a win over Jayson Mama in the headline bout. A second show followed in the UK last Saturday.

“Noel has proven his quality for many years, and we are delighted to confirm his signing,” added Richard Schaefer, President of Probellum.

“The fact he has fought 27 times and secured 25 victories speaks volumes, and we are eager to see him take his undoubted talent onto another level with Probellum.”
