Where does Canelo Alvarez land on Eric Raskin's list of the 10 greatest super middleweights?

I’ve been asked to talk about fights being stopped too soon or too late. This is an extremely difficult topic to talk about because there are so many ifs and buts but there are black and white situations.

British boxing legend Nigel Benn, the father of rising welterweight Conor Benn, says a potential fight with Chris Eubank Jr. should take place at the full middleweight limit of 160-pounds.

Not surprisingly, Nigel Benn has come out sticking up for his embattled son. The British boxing icon came to Conor Benn’s defense Friday after it was revealed earlier this week that he tested positive

After sustaining a shoulder injury in training yesterday (28 October 2019) afternoon, Nigel Benn informed his fans and supporters that will not be fit to box on November 23rd. Benn rejects talks that father time has caught up with him, and indicates that his preparation and sparring had actually progressed better than expected at this stage of his preparation.

Former two-division world champion Nigel Benn will not return to the ring as planned, as a training injury has forced him to cancel his feared ring return on November 23 in Birmingham. Benn, at 55-years-old, was scheduled to face Sakio Bika, despite the mountain of calls to stay retired.

Nigel Benn has issued a statement denying that he was turned down for a boxing licence for his comeback by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBC). Benn, the former WBO middleweight and WBC super-middleweight champion, is due to return to the ring when he faces Sakio Bika in Birmingham on November 23 at the age of 55, 23 years after he last boxed.

Nigel Benn says that he will retire for good whatever the result of his comeback fight in November whatever the result, saying his fight with Sakio Bika is a one-off to give him closure, not because he needs the money. The 55-year-old former WBO middleweight and WBC super-middleweight champion has not boxed since 1996, but he will make his return to the ring on November 23 in Birmingham against Bika, who won the WBC super-middleweight title 17 years after Benn lost it.

It’s official, former WBC & WBO World Champion Nigel Benn will return to the ring one last time for CLOSURE. The event will be held on the 23rd November 2019 at Resorts World Arena, located in the National Exhibition Centre, Perimeter Rd, Birmingham, England. The event will be broadcast globally upon the Epicentre.TV broadcast platform on Nigel’s own channel: WWW.Epicentre.TV/Nigel-Benn
