Two Puerto Rican fighters are looking for bigger opportunities. Both fought and won undercard bouts last Saturday night on the Ivan Calderon-Hugo Cazares rematch in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Super featherweight Roman "Rocky" Martinez (20-0-1, 12KOs) stopped Santos Benavides in six-rounds and now wants a crack at WBO champion Alex Arthur. Arthur defends his title against Nicky Cook on September 6 at the MEN Arena in Manchester, England.

"I believe that I've already shown that I deserve my opportunity at the title and I would like to fight Alex Arthur since now I am the the mandatory," Martinez told Primera Hora.

Former champ Eric Morel (39-2, 20KOs) won a lopsided twelve-round decision over Heriberto Ruiz to win the vacant WBO NABO bantamweight title. A few months ago, Morel called out WBO champion Gerry Penalosa, and he continued to call for the Filipino champion after his recent win.

"Now that I won the stupid regional strap, I am the first in line and I am willing to fight with Penalosa, whether the fight takes place in Puerto Rico, in the United States or in the Philippines. If I have to, I'll go there to get my shot," Morel said.
