On Saturday night at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California, Ryan Garcia (16-0, 13 KOs) won a very tough ten round majority decision victory against contender Carlos Morales (17-3-3, 6 KOs).

The fight headlined Golden Boy Promotions' latest offering of Golden Boy Fight Night on Facebook Watch.

Two of the judges scored it 98-92, while one judge scored it a 95-95 draw.

Morales was very upset with the outcome - and felt the decision should have gone in his direction.

He felt Garcia was holding way too much on the fight.

"He [Garcia] was holding too much," said Morales.

"Overall I feel I gave a good performance. He was a tough opponent. He's young and fast. He has some pop, but he doesn't hit that hard. I felt I won the fight."

On the undercard, Neeco "The Rooster" Macias (17-0, 10 KOs) overwhelmed Marvin Cabrera (8-1, 6 KOs) en route to a technical knockout win in the co-main event, which was originally scheduled for eight rounds in the super welterweight division.

The fight was stopped at the end of the sixth round after Cabrera had been pummeled in every round.

"I have a great team. I'm was the quintessential underdog, but miracles do happen," said Macias.

"A big thanks goes to Marvin Cabrera. I had to bring my best because I knew I was fighting him. I was just warming up in there. I took this style from the amateurs but now it's eight rounds instead of three!"

Patrick Teixeira (29-1, 22 KOs) of Sao Paulo, Brazil scored a unanimous decision victory against Nathaniel Gallimore (20-3-1, 17 KOs) of Evanston, Illinois in an eight-round middleweight fight. Teixeira won with three scores of 78-74.

"It was a good fight, but I have to get better," said Teixeira.

"He was a tough opponent. I want a title next. I have to work hard for that. I will stay in Oxnard, California and keep training."
