Former four division world champion Erik Morales faced Manny Pacquiao in three memorable fights. Morales won a twelve round decision in the first and lost the follow two meetings by knockout.

Morales hopes Pacquiao is not repeating the same mistake that he made in 2012. Prior to his fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao was calling for a super-fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. The unthinkable happened when Marquez knocked Pacquiao out in the sixth round.

Pacquiao returns on November 22nd, when he defends his WBO welterweight title against undefeated Chris Algieri in Macau, China. Once again, Pacquiao has demanded a fight with Mayweather. If Pacquiao's focus is conflicted, Morales says an unexpected ending is once again possible.

"He's thinking about Floyd Mayweather before thinking about his next opponent Algieri. The same thing happened to him when he lost to Juan Manuel Marquez," said Morales told Toluca Radio. "Algieri is a young man, very tall and a lot of people do not know him. Manny has had many wars and if you underestimate your opponent you may be get a surprise."
