Garcia (39-0, 30 KOs), the WBC and IBF lightweight champion, arrived in the midst of a club of supporters who warmly welcomed him at the Mexico City International Airport. Garcia defeated Robert Easter Jr. on July 28 and unified titles of the WBC and the International Boxing Federation.

It will be this Tuesday when he receives the belt that accredits him as lightweight champion of the green and gold sanctioning body.

"I am very happy for this surprise and great reception, I am more than willing to move forward, and I am also happy because I will have the belt that will be given to me by Mauricio Sulaimán as champion of my division," Garcia said.

The American boxer with Mexican ancestry, aims to rise up in weight by two divisions, to welterweight, to face IBF world champion Errol Spence.

"I have in mind to change my weight and go from lightweight to welterweight, because I know I can get good fights in that division, and for that I would like to talk to Mr. Sulaiman. My corner is telling me that we can still do other fights at lightweight but I am a man of challenges and I want to have this great challenge and get ahead of this," Garcia said.

[QUOTE=filup79;19060573]Linares nor Rigo are not even close to Mikey when it comes selling tickets. Both those guys agreed to Arums demands, cause even though they might top fighters, they don't bring in money nor do they command big paydays. Neither…
