Trainer Emanuel Steward is not looking to change the style of former two division champion Miguel Cotto. He just wants to break the Puerto Rican fighter's "bad habits" in the ring. Steward has seen an improvement in Cotto's style since coming on board two weeks to train him for the June 5 title shot againt WBA 154-pound champion Yuri Foreman. Cotto-Foreman takes place in New York's Yankee Stadium.

Steward wants to improve Cotto's ability to move and his defensive skills. He doesn't think Cotto moves his head enough and that makes him an easier target to hit.

"My job is not to completely change the style of Miguel, but to make him return to the way he boxed early on in his career. People in boxing are saying that the way to beat Miguel is to go through the gloves and punish him with uppercuts. That's precisely what was happening and we will correct it. We must work to make him the same fighter who faced Shane Mosley and Kelson Pinto," Steward said to Primera Hora.

"Miguel went through three very tough fights with Antonio Margarito, Joshua Clottey and Manny Pacquiao. His only flaw is that he fell into some bad habits but they can be corrected."
