British boxing's most prominent promoters, Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn, have named their picks for the highly anticipated clash of the promoters. The series of five fights will serve as the undercard to the undisputed light heavyweight encounter between unified champion Artur Beterbiev and WBA champion Dimitrii Bivol on June 1st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

A clash between the promoters had been British fight fans’ dream. Hearn and Warren had been rivals since Eddie picked up the baton of his father, Barry Hearn, towards the end of the last decade and re-commencing the rivalry his father shared with his opposite number, Frank.

Turki Alalshikh, at the beginning of 2024, announced that it was his ambition to see the pair pit their best talents against their promotional rivals, having brought the pair together to thaw the animosity between themselves to serve and deliver major fights to Saudi Arabia.

Last month, the promoters and Alalshikh named the weight categories in which will feature in the unique 5 vs 5 event featuring two heavyweight fights, a fight at middleweight, a featherweight contest and a light heavyweight.

The first fight revealed for the card saw heavyweights Daniel Dubois [Queensberry] pitted against Filip Hrgovic, which could see the IBF world title attached depending on the outcome of the undisputed heavyweight title between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.

As for the other fights, Raymond Ford [Matchroom] will defend his WBA super-featherweight title against Nick Ball [Queensberry]. Middleweights Hamzah Sheeraz [Queensberry] and Austin Williams [Matchroom] will contest a battle of the undefeated. Light heavyweights Craig Richards [Matchroom] and Willy Hutchinson [Queensberry] will feature and will battle it out in an all-British affair.

The highlight fight of the five will feature another heavyweight encounter between Zhilei Zhang [Queensberry] and Deontay Wilder [Matchroom], who both lost to Joseph Parker in their last appearances.
