Martinez, Newman, Hitchins To Top Shobox Tripleheader 2/28

Xavier Martinez, Kevin Newman and Richardson Hitchins all picked up dominant victories in their most recent bouts on November 1st. All 3 bouts were televised on Showtime's Shobox series and BoxingScene.com has been advised that the trio will return to the series on February 28th against opponents that are in the process of being finalized.

Martinez (15-0) blew out Jessie Cris Rosales in the first round of the main event while Newman (11-1-1) and Hitchins (10-0) both picked up wide unanimous decision victories.  Like the November card, this card will take place at Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada. All 3 fighters are promoted by Mayweather Promotions.

The 22-year-old Martinez is planning a big 2020 and previously told BoxingScene.com that he hopes to fight for a world title by the end of the year. With another win or 2 like his most recent fight, he will likely be ranked by one of the organizations and put himself in contention for an eliminator.

Newman and 2016 Haitian Olympian Hitchins aren't quite as far along in their careers as Martinez but also are looking to have big years in 2020.
