Martin Murray (33-4-1, 16KOs) has confirmed a recent report on BoxingScene.com, that he will be facing Russian super middleweight contender Dmitry Chudinov (19-1-2, 12KOs) on November 12th in Monaco. The card will be headlined by a heavyweight battle between Luis Ortiz and Malik Scott.

Murray was scheduled to have a rematch on that card with former world champion Arthur Abraham. The former champ suffered an elbow injury in training and recently withdrew from the fight.

Chudinov is will known to British fans. He was battered and stopped in a WBA interim-title fight with Chris Eubank Jr. in February of 2015.

Chudinov moved up to super middleweight since the defeat to Eubank Jr. and won five fights in a row. He picked up a decision win at the light heavyweight limit back on July 31.

Murray is looking to bounce back after losing a twelve round decision to countryman George Groves in June of this year.

"I think it's a tougher fight, if I'm honest with you," Murray told Sky Sports. "He's only had that one loss to Eubank Jr. He's got a few wins, quite a lot by knockout, and he's young, he's fresh, and he's ambitious. Obviously Arthur Abraham is old, experienced and he's aged. It's going to be a better fight for the fans, because all Abraham does is soak it up, then has a 10 second burst and wins the round. There is going to be more action in this fight.

"He's going to come and have it, but so am I. I'm so looking forward to the fight and I'm going to put that loss to George Groves behind me. It's a must-win for me and I will win it, simple as that."

Murray is not entirely convinced that Abraham withdrew with injury. The WBO recently ordered Abraham to take part in a final title eliminator with Robin Krasniqi. Murray felt Abraham walked away from their rematch to avoid the risk of losing that opportunity.

"I'm not happy about it and I kind of hold him responsible, but it is what it is," said Murray. "He knows deep down that I should have won the first fight. Had it not been in Germany, I would have got the decision. He knows that if he was fighting me in another country - obviously this is in Monte Carlo - he wasn't going to win. I personally believe he never wanted the fight all along."
