Martin Bakole has been given his return date.
The heavyweight, who recently inked a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing, was last in action back in August.
Bakole took on and stopped Ecuador’s Ytalo Perea of Ecuador at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool, exclusively live on Sky Sports and DAZN.
And the Scotland-based man, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, will be back in the ring next weekend.
Bakole (13-1, 10 KOs) will face 35-year-old Spaniard Gabriel Enguema over eight rounds on October 19 at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle, as part of the supporting cast to British super-lightweight champion Robbie Davies Jr’s next fight.
Enguema (10-9, 6 KOs) has previously shared the ring with WBC interim heavyweight world title challenger Oscar Rivas and was last in action back in June when he lost to Kem Ljungquist by unanimous decision at the Forum in Horsens, Denmark.
Davies Jr., the former Commonwealth and European champion, takes on hometown hero Lewis Ritson in what is an official eliminator for the WBA world title at 140lbs.
Savannah Marshall has the second fight of her Matchroom deal on the card, while there is a tasty light-heavyweight scrap between Lawrence Osueke and Ricky Summers.
Ted Cheeseman is set to make a defence of his British super-welterweight title against Scott Fitzgerald on the card and Joseph Laws will feature alongside Terry Wilkinson and talented Scotsman John Docherty, plus Liverpool’s Thomas Whittaker-Hart –– who is set for a busy few weeks with also being scheduled for action on the undercard of Callum Smith’s WBA Super, WBC Diamond and Ring Magazine world super-middleweight title defence against his mandatory challenger John Ryder on November 23 at the M&S Bank Arena –– and Coventry’s former British super-welterweight title challenger Kieron Conway.
