Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez took a good look at the upcoming trilogy fight between Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley.

The two fighters will collide for a third time on April 9th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, which is the site of their two previous encounters.

Bradley won a controversial twelve round split decision over Pacquiao in 2012, with the Filipino superstar winning a unanimous decision in their 2014 rematch.

Marquez lost a twelve round split decision to Bradley in 2013, and fought Pacquiao on four occasions. In their fourth and final meeting in 2012, Marquez knocked Pacquiao out cold in the closing moments of the sixth round.

Bradley was training for nearly his entire career by Joel Diaz. Last September he hired Teddy Atlas.

"I do not think there will be many changes [with Bradley], on minor adjustments with new trainer Teddy Atlas. But he will need to adjust in terms of speed, the speed of his hands and his feet must be moving in the ring and can not allow himself to be a fixed target for Pacquiao, a fighter with speed and punches very hard," Marquez said to ESPN Deportes.

"So Bradley has to move in the ring, stay in the comfort zone and in the combat zone, use side to side movement and not allow Pacquiao to use speed against him."

Marquez also touched on the topic of Pacquiao's retirement. The former eight division world champion is planning to retire following his third bout with Bradley to purse a career in politics.

"I think he is still in a good moment as a boxer," said Marquez.

"After that knockout of 2012, he managed to regain his position and that is something that a lot of fighters - after a knockout of this nature - were not able to do. Hopefully he's really thought about his decision, and if he wants to retire then he should do it."
