WBA 'regular' super lightweight titlist, Jessie Vargas (25-0, 9KOs), takes on Antonio Demarco (31-3-1, 23KOs) as part of the HBO Pay-Per-View undercard in Macao that features Manny Pacquiao's welterweight bout against Chris Algieri. Word is that if Vargas comes out victorious, alongside 'the Pac Man', the two could meet next year.

"Yes, I have," he admitted on Thursday afternoon at the Conga Room at L.A. Live, where a press conference was staged to promote the upcoming event in Asia.

"I have spoke to Mr. Arum and it's definitely a possibility but right now we're focused 100-percent on November 22nd and defeating and knocking out Antonio Demarco and that's the only thing were focused on right now.

"God-willing, everything goes as planned that name (Pacquiao) has been spoken up and it's definitely a fight that could be the next one for us."

Working in Vargas' favor is that he is - like Pacquiao - promoted by Top Rank and he does have a 140-pound title in his possession. Pacquiao and his trainer Freddie Roach have talked about moving down in weight.
