On May 3rd, Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31KOs) showed very little respect when he fought Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) over twelve rounds. He did what many others planned to do but never did - he tried to rough Mayweather up in every round. Mayweather won a twelve round majority decision. A rematch is set for the September 13th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

During their five city press tour, Mayweather hurled verbal shots at both Maidana and his trainer Robert Garcia. He called Maidana "a bum" and claimed the Argentine fighter was only getting a rematch because the "fans demanded it." Maidana wants nothing more than to silence Mayweather in September.

"I’m going to shut his mouth.  He doesn’t respect anything or anyone.  He might have money, but he doesn’t have respect. He thinks he intimidates me?  Nothing intimidates me.  His talk can’t hurt me, his punches can’t hurt me.  Come September 13, he’ll be the one that’s hurt," Maidana said.
