Former champion Marcos "El Chino" Maidana believes Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not in agreement with doing a rematch, and looking at other options, for his next ring return on September 13th. Maidana did much better than any expected against Mayweather in their welterweight unification on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather won a twelve round majority decision, with one judge scoring the fight a draw. Many at ringside saw Mayweather as a close winner with a 7-5 edge in rounds.

Maidana has no problem with taking some time off until Mayweather decides to fight him.

"I don't believe that he wants to fight me. I'm waiting for him to give me the rematch," Maidana said to Cadena 3 Radio. "I do not want to fight with anyone other than Mayweather. I'm not interested in a rematch with Amir Khan. I will stay calm and wait for a big fight. I am only 30-years-old, I can still have the pleasure of enjoying my family and come back well rested within a year."
