The return of former world champion Luis Nery has been finalized and his next fight will take place on June 9 at the Municipal Auditorium of his native Tijuana - in what Zanfer Promotions has themed as a war between Mexico and the Philippines.

The set opponent is tough Filipino Jetro Pabustan in what will be the main event of the evening of the televised portion of the card for Azteca 7.

The event will be broadcast throughout Mexico and in the United States by Bein Sports in a match agreed upon for ten rounds.

Nery (26-0, 20 KOs), 23 years old, has not fought since destroying former champion Shinsuke Yamanaka on March 1; However, he was unable to make the weight limit a day prior and lost his WBC bantamweight title on the scale.

Besides that, the weight issue forced the World Boxing Council to suspended him from their rankings.

Pabustan (29-5-6, 9 KOs) will reach the battle at 28 years old, and has a record of of six wins, three defeats and a draw in his last 10 outings to the ring. The Filipino has already had three fights away from home and in one of them he picked up a win in Japan.

This card is being put together by Zanfer Promotions to celebrate their 25 year anniversary of being in the boxing industry.
