Last week an article ran on BoxingScene.com in which Erickson Lubin's coach Kevin Cunningham stated that he would like his charge to face either Terrell Gausha or former champion Austin Trout in his next fight.

With Tony Harrison and Jermell Charlo and also Julian Williams and Jarrett Hurd obligated to face each other in rematches, Cunningham believes that Gausha or Trout would be the perfect opponent for Lubin's next fight. Three out of the the four super welterweight titles are tied up in the rematch and there is a strong likelihood that the winners of the fight s will meet each other down the road.

Gausha and Trout fought to a split draw on May 25th in a fight most observers felt Gausha did enough to get the victory.

When Gausha caught wind of Lubin's call out, he took to his Instagram account to accept the challenge.

"I love it! It's real easy to make fight happen. Just picked up the phone and make the call. Lets get it going! Challenge Accepted. You know how I am coming," Gausha wrote.

Cunningham was very happy to hear that Gausha accepted the fight.

“Looks like Gausha has excepted the challenge. Lubin vs Gausha sounds good to me. I thought Gausha deserved the decision against Trout. Let’s make it happen!" Cunningham told BoxingScene.com.

Lubin and Gausha are both advised by Al Haymon and fight under the Premier Boxing Champions banner so the fight should be fairly easy to make.
