Lubin vs. Marcias, De Jesus-Elegele Tops PBC on Bounce, 1/31

By Ryan Burton

Managerial company New Face of Boxing has advised BoxingScene.com that their fighter Alex "El Pollo" De Jesus (21-1) will make his first appearance of the 2016 on January 31st against Joseph Elegele (14-2) in a bout set for 149 lbs. The fight will open up the season premiere of Premier Boxing Champions on Bounce TV from the picturesque Seminole Casino in Immokalee, FL.

The main event will feature rising prospect Erickson "The Hammer" Lubin (13-0) against Jose DeJesus Macias (18-4-2).

De Jesus was a highly regarded 2004 Puerto Rican Olympian who returned to the ring last February and defeated Javier Garcia by unanimous decision  after completing a 4 year prison stint. It was his first fight since since 2010.

The 32-year-old's only career loss was to former champion Cesar Cuenca in Argentina in 2009 in a bout that some observers felt the Puerto Rican did enough to get the nod.

The Bounce TV card returns to Sunday evening just like the first episode which was the original intention of the show.

23-year-old featherweight prospect Dennis Galarza (11-1) will also appear on the card against an opponent to be determined.
