Logan Paul is next slated to return to the ring to take on rival Dillon Danis on October 14 at the AO Arena in Manchester, United Kingdom on DAZN.
Danis is an MMA fighter with two wins and no losses on his record, although, he hasn’t fought professionally since June 2019 and will be making his boxing debut for the grudge match.
The part-time pugilist Paul will be fighting for the first time since challenging Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a spirited exhibition match in 2021.
The 28-year-old Paul has been competing as a wrestler for WWE since last lacing up a pair of boxing gloves, leaving many wondering if he’ll ever consider clashing with the two closest people around him in brother Jake Paul and former adversary turned business partner KSI.
Paul was on the verge of saying "it depends" in regard to fighting his brother Jake before somewhat changing course.
“Mmm. It depe … Everyone always asks me this,” Paul told BoxingScene.com and a small group of reporters in an interview. “The possibilities are so low. Just because we don't need to do that. My end goal in boxing -- I don't know if I have one. Part of me maybe wants to get a championship belt, part of me just wants to show that I am the best. Part of me doesn't give a sh!t at all. I don't know.
“Jake is my brother. He's always going to be my No. 1 no matter what. The relationship is great … I love the kid and he loves me. We're each other's best friends, and right now, we’re great.”
KSI, who beat Logan Paul via split decision in a six-round professional bout in 2019, has emerged as a confidant for Paul ever since, as the two are actively trying to seize global market share with the beverage Prime.
KSI will be fighting Tommy Fury to headline the card Paul and Danis are featured on. Paul was lukewarm about fighting KSI in a rematch and left the door somewhat open.
“That's another one, like I just don't know if I could see it happening [fighting with KSI]. I just feel like we've put that to bed,” said Paul. “We've come together now as friends. We like each other. So I don't know. Anything is possible ... but probably not that.”
Paul also reflected on how he has helped shape the state of influencer boxing, dating back to his first exhibition match against KSI in 2019.
“Hell no [I never expected this]. This is crazy. With what me, Jake, and KSI have pioneered and what it's become is just absolutely insane,” said Paul.
“We've truly changed the game. I also think it's still so ripe. This card is going to be one of the most exciting cards that we've seen in a really long time. There are a lot of people who can really fight with a lot on the line on the same night. It's going to be amazing.”
