UFC veteran Artem Lobov is steaming mad over the recent incidents with former two division champion Paulie Malignaggi.
The two fighters are scheduled to collide on June 22 in a bare knuckle fight, as the main event of BKFC.
A few weeks ago, Malignaggi traded heated words with Lobov, and they were pulled apart after Malignaggi slapped him in the face.
And then chaos erupted on Monday, after Malignaggi spit in Lobov's face and promised to urinate on the MMA combatant.
Their rivalry stems from another. Malignaggi has a longstanding beef with UFC superstar Conor McGregor, who is good friends with Lobov.
Lobov can't believe Malignaggi had done of the things he's done during their interactions.
“It’s very hard to respect this guy. As a person, as a fighter, how do you respect this guy? He’s just a scumbag. The lowest of the low. Look at the kind of sh*t he did. I walked into his hometown in the middle of Brooklyn, alone. I came there, was asked by the (BKFC) president, ‘Look, no hands. We want to make a good impression on the commission. We’re a new sport trying to make it into the big leagues. So we need to showcase ourselves like professional athletes,’" Lobov said to MMA Fighting.
“If you told me now there’s a guy I really hate and he is standing there, and I could sneak up on him and give him a slap and run. I wouldn’t want to do it. That gives me no pleasure. That gives me no satisfaction. But I can reel him in fair and square in the f***ing ring, and put him away. That’s what true warriors do. That’s what true men do,” he added. “What he does is that sleazy f***ing lowlife behavior.
“Look at some of his past fights. Even when he got his ass whooped, he still didn’t stop talking sh*t. This guy, his f***ing motorboat mouth, doesn’t stop talking sh-t. He just needs to f***ing talk crap non-stop over and over and over. So I honestly don’t really see (it happening). You shouldn’t have any respect for him, either. Why? Because there is no reason to respect him. Do you respect somebody that spits on someone’s hard work? In order to respect him, he needs to give me something to respect him for.”
