Liam Williams has warned opponent Andrew Robinson that he is going to feel his full wrath when the Welshman defends his British middleweight title on Saturday.
Williams (22-2-1, 17 KOs) puts his belt on the line against Robinson (24-4-1, 7 KOs) on a Queensberry Promotions show, live on BT Sport.
The two men went head to head at a press conference on Wednesday, and Williams made it clear that he is coming to make a serious impact.
Williams, the WBO's mandatory challenger, believes champion Demetrius Andrade will vacate the belt.
He expects to face Jaime Munguia for the vacant world title. Earlier this year, Munguia vacated his WBO junior middleweight belt and made a move to 160-pounds.
Williams said: “I always bring excitement and I’m ready to be firing on all cylinders on Saturday. I’m coming with bad intentions and I’m not letting anything step in my way.
“There will be no slip ups. I’m on the ball and the referee needs to be on the ball because somebody could be hurt. I’ll be walking away with a win and then I want my world title shot.
“Andrade keeps saying he’s the boogeyman but I’m chasing the fight with him and he’s not taking it. He needs to make his mind up. You can’t call yourself the boogeyman if you’re turning down fights with your mandatory challenger.
“As long as I get my chance and fight for the world title I don’t care who I fight, but personally I don’t think he’ll take it, I think he’ll vacate and I think I’ll fight Munguia. That fight has got blood and guts all over it.”
