The last we saw of former IBF middleweight belt-holder David Lemieux, he was getting stopped in eight rounds by Gennady Golovkin at the Madison Square Garden on the night of October 17th. Lemieux now looks to rebound from that loss and get back into title contention.

"We're looking at a date in March,'' said Camille Estephan, who represents Lemieux and is the head of Eye of the Tiger Management.

As for the caliber of foe that they might be facing, Estephan explained - "We're definitely looking at an opponent that can be on HBO. We've got to look into the dates that are available, etc. So David just fought Golovkin, who in my eyes fought the best fight of his life. He showed a lot of respect for David, he was very defensive-minded. He never jabbed the way he did. He didn't want to take any risks, which was very smart.

"So we fought the best pound-for-pound fighter in Golovkin and we're going to fight an A/A+ fighter."

There is a chance that this upcoming bout for Lemieux (34-3, 31 KO's) could take place in his hometown of Montreal.

"We'd like it to be there. There's a lot of logistics to be worked out as far as what buildings are available and all that,"said Estephan."But we'd like it to be in Montreal, if not, we'll see what we can do in the U.S."
