Glowacki-Okolie Vacant Title Fight Targeted For Joshua-Pulev Card
Krzysztof Glowacki and Lawrence Okolie finally have a timeframe for their long-awaited showdown. Now all it needs is a firm date and location. Plans for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) cruiserweight title fight were revealed on Monday. Eddie Hearn, managing director for Matchroom Boxing—Okolie’s promoter—indicated plans to stage the bout in supporting capacity to the unified heavyweight title fight between WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO titlist Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21KOs) and Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev (28-1, 14KOs) as his mandatory challenger.
