Riga, Latvia - WBC #3 and IBF/WBO #8 rated cruiserweight Krzysztof Glowacki of Poland got his second win this year and won for the second time since losing to Ukrainian Olexander Usyk in a bid for the WBO belt in 2016.
Glowacki, 31, stopped relatively unknown former two-time Italian cruiserweight champion Leonardo Damian Bruzzese, 33, at 2:19 of the fifth round.
Glowacki improves to 28-1, 18 KOs, while Bruzzese falls down to 18-4, 6 KOs.
In the upset, local cruiserweight Nikolajs Grisunins, a 33-year old former amateur standout, was held to a draw by Russian journeyman Alexnader Kubich in a scheduled eight-rounder. Scores were dead even at 77-77, 76-76, 76-76. Grisunins is now 6-0-1, 3 KOs, while Kubich sets his record at 10-5-1, 6 KOs.

In a mild upset, less-heralded Russian super middleweight Sergey Gorokhov (9-2, 6 KOs) returned to the light heavyweight division and beat Norse Tim Robin Lihaug (16-4, 9 KOs) over ten rounds. Scores were: 100-96, 99-97 and 97-93 - for the Russian. Lihaug is best known for being stopped in eight by former multi-time champion Arthur Abraham a year ago.

Powerful Croatian Filip Hrgovic (1-0, 1 KO), best known for his 2016 Rio Olympics super heavyweight bronze medal (losing just tightly 1-2 to occasional Olympic champion Tony Yoka), made a thunderous professional debut with the first-round destruction of multi-time Brazalian heavyweight champion Rafael Zumbano Love. Love is now 39-16-1, 31 KOs.
