Korobov vs. Vera Clash Set For Alvarado-Torres Card

By Ryan Burton

Vereran middleweight Brian Vera (23-10) has advised BoxingScene.com that he will be facing former title challenger Matt Korobov (25-1) on June 25th in Dallas, Texas.

The fight will support the Mike Alvarado-Josh Torres main event that will be broadcast as part of UniMas' Solo Boxeo series.

Vera last fought in June when he was stopped by Rocky Fielding. Korobov returned to the ring in January to defeat Josue Ovando by unanimous decision. It was his first fight since being KO'd by Andy Lee in December, 2014.

The Texas native has fought several of the top names in the sport including two fights with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. whom many fans felt Vera deserved the nod in their first encounter.
