Kody Davies: record, next fight and profile →
Kody Davies has had his next fight confirmed. The undefeated 24-year-old is campaigning at super-middleweight and was most recently in action last month. Davies outpointed Eric Mokonzo at Bethnal Green’s famous York Hall venue in London, exclusively live on UKTV channel Dave, to move to 5-0 with two early.
York Hall, London - Olympic silver medal winner and the Commonwealth heavyweight champion Joe Joyce (5-0, 5 KOs) crushed the very late replacement Ivica Bacurin (29-14-1, 18 KOs), who accepted the fight on a few days notice.
Here are the results from today’s official weigh-in ahead of tomorrow night’s Hayemaker Ringstar event at the York Hall, Bethnal Green. Joe Joyce will now face late replacement Ivica Bacurin, who replaces Richard Lartey.
Unbeaten super featherweight Jordan Gill kicked off the big Bellew vs Haye II show with a six round decision win over Dubliner Carl McDonald. The referee scored it 60-54 and Gill, now 20-0 is likely to target some more meaningful matches.
Kody Davies will fight again in a couple of months after signing a new promotional deal. The Welshman has two pro wins under his belt to date and has recently shared the ring with Callum Smith and George Groves in sparring. Davies, the talented light-heavyweight, will be looking to make a big impact on the division in the coming months, having inked an exclusive pact with Hayemaker Ringstar.
