At the North-West University Sports Complex in South Africa, Malcolm Klassen (24-4-2, 15 KOs) regained the IBF super featherweight title by stopping Cassius Baloyi (36-4-1, 20KOs) in the seventh round.

Klassen won the title from Gairy St. Clair in November 2006, then lost it five months later to Mzonke Fana, who lost it to Baloyi in April 2008. Klassen won five straight bouts since the loss to Fana and put himself back in position for a title shot. From the first round, he was hammering Baloyi and controlled the entire fight until a big flurry of punches in the seventh forced referee Sam Williams to jump in and stop the bout at 2:26.
