Dimitri Kirilov (29-3, 10 KOs) captured the vacant IBF super flyweight title with a close unanimous decision over Jose Navarro (26-3, 12 KOs) at the Khodynka Ice Palace in Moscow, Russia.

In the third round, Kirilov scored a flash knockdown from a counter right that made Navarro's glove touch the canvas. The referee Samuel Viruet was slow to break up the action as Kirilov continued to land punches after Navarro made it to his feet after technically being knocked down. No points were deducted, but the knockdown won him the fight in what was a close chessmatch for the entire twelve-rounds.

The scores were 114-113, 114-113 and 116-112
