Khussein Baysangurov: record, next fight and profile →
It’s when two undefeated junior middleweights will clash for three minor belts, as IBF #7 rated Khusein Baysangurov (14-0, 12 KOs), a nephew of former WBO champion Zaurbek Baysangurov, collides with fellow undefeated WBO #12 Aram Amirkhanyan (11-0-1, 3 KOs).
In the main event of the show, promoted by the Boom Box at the Sports Game Palace in Baku, Azerbaijan, Odessa-born Ramil Gadzhiev (7-1-1, 4 KOs) scored his most impressive victory to date with the one-punch kayo of experienced Argentinean Mateo Damian Veron (27-20-3, 8 KOs).
Middleweight Khasan Baysangurov improved his record to 15-0, 7 KOs, with an easy stoppage of Georgian import Lasha Gurguliani (15-5, 7 KOs) in round five. The fight was all Khasan's as he kept the Georgian at bay, peppering him with the jab, adding hard shots when needed. Gurguliani went down in round four after a major left hook to the liver.
Several mid-sized but well-packed events have taken its place across Europe this past weekend, some of them being held in Eastern European countries. There were several minor title fights among them but the focus was also set at three members of locally well-known Baysangurov boxing family.
