British welterweight superstar Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) has a message for Floyd Mayweather - fight me. Khan — who was in Los Angeles to see the Danny Garcia win the WBC welterweight title with a twelve round decision over Robert Guerrero at Staples Center - tells TMZ Sports Floyd’s been avoid a fight between the two of them.

Mayweather announced his retirement last September after winning a twelve round decision over Khan's good friend and gym partner, Andre Berto.

Khan is now the WBC's mandatory challenger to Garcia. The WBC ordered that fight to take place before the month of June. Khan may take a tuneup fight in March, as he's been inactive since last May's decision win over Chris Algieri.

Mayweather was also at Staples Center on Saturday and there were some words exchanged with Khan at ringside.

Khan feels that if he puts a good beating on Garcia, Mayweather may come out of retirement to face him. Garcia knocked Khan out in four rounds when then met in a junior welterweight unification back in 2012 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas,.

"If I put a good beating on Danny Garcia and beat him, the Mayweather fight might be there for me. It just seems that Mayweather is afraid and doesn't want to fight me. He fought Berto in his last fight. No disrespect to Berto. Everyone was waiting for him to fight me, but he didn't want to fight me. I think people need to know that. People need to know that he's avoiding Amir Khan," Khan said.
