Amir Khan believes Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) is the best heavyweight in the division - better than WBO, IBO, IBF, WBA champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) and WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs).

Fury, who has been inactive since traveling to Germany to defeat Wladimir Klitschko in a big upset to capture the IBF, IBO, WBO, WBA titles in November of 2015.

Fury then lost the IBF belt for failure to make a mandatory defense and then dropped the IBO, WBO, WBA titles due to depression.

Fury will finally return to the ring at the Manchester Arena on June 9. The opponent is expected to be confirmed soon.

Khan, who made his return after two years off on Saturday night with knockout of Phil Lo Greco in Liverpool, broke down his thoughts on the current heavyweight landscape.

He believes that Fury, who handed Joshua his first career defeat in a decade, is still the best fighter of the bunch when compared to the two undefeated punchers who hold all of world titles.

Fury wants to face both of them in the near future.

Khan is impressed with both Wilder and Joshua, but feels the two brightest fighters have yet to be tested by stiffest of competition at the weight class.

“The Gypsy King is one of those guys who is not scared of anything and he’s not scared of saying anything. He’ll say the funniest things in press conferences and I think he can fight. He probably is one of the best heavyweight fighters out there,” Khan told TalkSport.

“[Wilder is a] big banger – if he hits you, it’s light out. But I don’t think he has been tested yet. [Joshua is a] very good fighter, he’s very strong - another fighter that’s not been tested. I think out of the bunch of three names you mentioned, Fury is probably the best out of all three.”
